In the past already a few expeditions to discover the life in the treetops had found place. These were done with helicopters, zeppelins or just cutting the trees down.
I was always wondering why these expeditions only showed us a lot of insects and slow-moving animals. The reason for this is quite logic. The sound of a helicopter, the size of a zeppelin and especially cutting a tree down would make the animals run away from that certain area or tree. By living in the tree as a silent observer, the animals could learn to know us and may be accept us as a part of their environment. I practice I was delighted to see my vision was right.

The main subject of the expedition was to explore the habitat of the Harlequin Toad. This time I didn't choose to visit the area during the rainseason, the wild river from then, was turned into a small brook. The ideal moment for the Harlequin Toad to breed.
Due to a waterfall in the area the male toad had to produce quite a noise to attrack a female.
