"
It was nice in the hot water and the idea that this monkey
would attack me, when I approached him too close, didn't
bother me really much. I felt one of them and they seem
to accept me."

North-west
of Tokyo, at 850 meters above sealevel, ' The Valley of
the Hell' is located. The climate in this area is almost
antartic.
The Japanese Snowmonkeys are used to hunt for food in snowstorms
in the mountains at tempeartures as low as -20ºC ,
but as hard their live is; in the morning they have the
pleasure of their live. Every morning they take a bad in
the hotwater sources . The temperature in the sources is
40ºC, at that moment the temperature outside the water
is still -20ºC.
Due to the extreme difference between the air and water
temperature, they get in a drugged state. |
